mother bear and her cubs trapped

Recently, a woodsman in Appalachia witnessed mountaintop removal (MTR) bulldozers covering the entrance of a black bear den with debris, leaving a crying mother bear and her cubs trapped inside to die. Tell Congress that MTR is harmful and must be banned.»

Flying squirrels, salamanders, mussels and other native animals are also being threatened by this highly destructive coal mining method.

Hardly any good comes from MTR - the bears certainly would agree.

Save more bears, and stop MTR! »
