WHY HELP?
Have you ever been hungry, have you gone without? Have you been cold and there is no place to get out of the cutting winds?
Beings without shelters and food go through this daily. Now I said beings because all animals, yes including people are beings. Even the animals in water and on the air have some kind of misery they go through.
If your Christian have you ever asked why are animals suffering when they are free of sin? When Adam and Eve disobeyed God they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden.. and all animals have suffered for our sin since then.
Does that not make us responsible for caring for them? To help them?

Now to reverse this statement and if you believe in evolution.. Are Humans not at the top of the chain of inteligence? Does this alone not put the responsibility for us to care for other beings and our planet on our shoulders? Who or what else could shoulder this great responsibility.
I believe.. We are their care takers.. and I know no matter how you believe evloution or a faith in a God, we are responsible for our fellow beings.
Many people around the world try to make a difference, try to help, but no one can do it alone. We all need help.
As a citizen of the USA, I see that my country is really not that much better then any other country around the world. WE still have states that allow beastuality, we kill a million or better of animals a year in what we call government shelters. We have people who tourtue animals for self satisfaction.. Do you see any difference, I don't; other countries may do it more.. but we all still do it.
Help comes in many different ways all at the same time. Laws to protect animals, classes in schools, showing the similarities between people and other animals. NON-KILL SHELTERS/PENSIONS run by the Governments. Private RESCUE GROUPS, who help feed and house animals.
NOW HERE IS THE PROBLEM... MONEY, yes MONEY.. no person, group, or government has enough money to tackle the problem. They can only try..
JUST AS YOU CAN ONLY TRY!
I have picked to help private rescues in Eastern Europe, why there you may ask?!! because of the rampid theft of Government monies going into private pockets instead of it going to feed and house the strays.
Eastern Europe has people trying to help the strays real rescues and fake ones.
Here I must put a note: research the group you want to help insure you see receipts for what you buy or pay for..... the only thing I know that does not give a reciept is the pensions (IN USA THEY ARE PRIVATE SHELTERS). This way you insure as much as you can the money you give goes to the animals.
There are many ways to help, volunteer, donate.. this isn't just money, it can be..blankets, bedding, collars leashes, coats, food. Or you could be a foster home. run a yard/ boot sale, anything that raises money!
