No SURVIVAL without YOU
I am so worried for the animals this winter in Eastern Europe. WE here in the USA have had it so easy compared to some European Countries. No it is hard to be without where ever you live, but we are better off.
WINTER HAS ARRIVED in my favorite adopted country ... BOSNIA and HERZEGOVINA. I have friends who are animal activists there. Most of my friends live in Sarajevo, the capital. IT IS SNOWING!
Winter is so wonderful, all the beautiful cold snow to play in.. and yet hidden from most eyes is starvation, death and just plain misery for those with no warm home to go to. Animal activists in Sarajevo can only work rescuing if they have money and although they survive they have no extra to pay for food and pensions for the homeless animals. I believe there are only two types of people in Eastern Europe. People who love and protect animals and those who hate and fear them...I know that is judgemental but it is truthful..
EASTERN EUROPE HAS TEMPERATURES in the winter below freezing -20 below is not unusual.. Could you sleep out under a bush or under a car and live in those temperatures? I couldn't and I'm a person I have hands and a brain to use to help myself, All a dog has... IS AN ANIMAL ACTIVIST to help them.
The cold temperatures require a higher protein value in food eaten in winter to help keep the body warm.. and alive!
The only help they will receive is the help you give... the pennys you save from maybe not having that cup of coffee or the soda... or that snack.. Instead send the money to a rescue, or foster an animal, or adopt!
