Lawyer at Advokatski Ured/Law Office and Activist, rescuer, lawyer at Animal rights activist.Dalida has90 dogs and 8 cats that have been rescued from the streets. Some are kept at her parents home. Some are in pensions. 

Dalida has been having problems raising the full amount of money she needs to feed, shelter and have medical attention for these animals, and I can not understand why..At the drop of a hat Dalida will step in when a Lawyer is needed to defend a animal rescuer in Sarajevo courts..  But it is like the supporters have forgotten how hard she works to help animals.

While my parents and I are struggling to keep saved animals safe and fed, my dad has been informed about badly injured dog in Breza. An unknown driver had hit a dog and left him to die on a road in Breza. Local people had called the police station to ask what to do with the dog and police officers called a vet who worked in Public Company Veterinary station Breza. That vet refused to help the dog so my dad was called to help.
After he had found the dog, he took him to the private veterinary station in Sarajevo. Injuries are awful. This sweet boy has two fractures of front leg and two fractures of a hind paw including a fracture of a hip which is the most severe injury so the question is if the vet will be able to save the hind leg. The dog is waiting to be operated. The most awful thing was that he had been hit at 3 o'clock a.m. and no one wanted to help him until my dad was called at 10 o'clock a.m. so the injured dog spent 7 hours on the cold road in pain. He was in shock and had hypothermia when my dad took him. Of course I have made a huge mess to the director of the veterinary station and I will report him and his colleagues to the inspection.
I will need your help to pay all costs for him. The wires will be put in the front paw, Haris the vet will try to do the same thing with the hind paw and the hip. I don't know how much the operation will cost. As soon as I get that information I will set up YouCaring page. Also I will need help to pay medications food and place for this boy.

These are the constant things that people in Sarajevo ask Dalida and her family to help with..

BUT SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP TO DO THESE THINGS FOR THE ANIMALS.. 

THE THING I DO NOT UNDERSTAND Is that she hasn't been getting the donation she needs

the pension fees are 2060.00 but has only been given 463.00 euros as donations 1,577.00 euros is still needed. Now it is April and her bills should already have been paid!

then there is the Food request:  
She needs 1000.00 but only 446.00 has been donated WHY.. Again I do not understand... This is dog and cat food they must eat to live ... Please!

Now the two special needs dogs:  The Bill is 230.00 euros - this one is much better she was given.. 153.00 euros so needs only 77.00 euros..

But just think all these added together is a huge amount that she can not raise with out you...

 Edina Pasic and Miska Oksanen are out working the streets looking to feed street strays... To find Cats that need Spay and Neutering, to help animals deliberately hurt by humans ..no not Humans.. just sick unhealthy people who get pleasure out of hurting animals. 

 LIKE THESE A FEW YEARS AGO IN ROMANIA

They need funds. Miska is from Finland, her and the driver drove there.. GAS MONEY..NEEDED for edina's car ... Edina lives with her mother and sister, with Edina's son in the mother's small apartment. SO MISKA and driver need room to let.. for 3-5 days. They need food to eat... They do not ask for funds to help with personal expenses,, they are using their own money... 

THIS means all they have to do for.the animals.. needs to be paid for by us.. yes you and me...they don't have the extra funds for money for Edina's car's gas, or the bags of food they need to feed the animals, nor the Vet and pension fees... 

THEY NEED US TO PAY THESE BILLS, But poor Edina is still trying to get the funds to pay March's pension fees for the animals already saved...the March Pension fees bill is 2,060.00 euros, some very kind and good people have dug into their pockets and donated 1,185.00 Euros ....

BUT THIS STILL LEAVES 1, 050.00 EUROS STILL NEEDED!

Mother dog Edina rescued she was walking down a street when she heard the dog screaming a man was kicking her in the belly Edina made him stop and she took momma to the vet 2 days later she had this litter she is paying pension and vet fees for.. most of this bill was taken up by donations directly for the Momma and her pups.. Some of the other animals Edina has rescued some are still in pensions some have found homes and some like poor Teddy were rescued to late to save... and wait for love at the Rainbow Bridge.

My truth, I hurt because I can do so little to help the animals that have been abandoned by humanity.
I am an old woman, I have seen a wonderful life. Been all over the world.. But I have little money above my bills to give to others to feed, house, and give medical care for these abandoned animals.

Have you ever wondered what drives a person to rescue animals?

Is it love, Is it guilt, What makes a person expose themselves to the cruelty of the human race towards  other animals? Yes I said "Other Animals"... cause we are animals too. There is so much disappointment, depression, and guilt and for me fear, connected to animal rescue. 

But, the feelings of fulfillment that a success story brings pushes all that to the back of your mind and you try for the next animal. 

There is no way, unless a higher power stepped in that every animal can be saved. But, you change the world for that one you could save. Better "ONE THEN NONE".

 

This picture was from a few years back, When Romania and Bosnia and a few other Eastern European Countries decided the way to take care of over population of street strays --- was to murder them.

The different rescues all over Eastern Europe tried as much as they could to get the strays off the streets so the illegal dog catchers could not get to them.. Did this mass murdering help the over population? NO.. the problem is still there..

For Romania during that time authorities said a little boy was killed by the strays.. but later it came out that the little boy was raped and murdered and dumped where the dogs would get blamed. That is what started the mass murdering in Romania.

Today a Face Book friend in Bosnia and Herzegovina, posted " Stray dogs in Ilidza, part of Sarajevo, have attacked and injured a 5 year old boy, it's reported that It happened today but information I have is that it happened few days ago but it was not publicized until now...."

 Can you imagine how this is going to be stretched all out of proportion to what really happened and all the animals which will be killed because of this...  It will be ROMANIA ALL OVER AGAIN.. thousands will suffer and die.

It has also been posted that these are not dog bites.. they do not look like dog bites to me .. but I'm not an expert..and it will not matter.. just like Romania the people hate the street animals and will kill them anyway they can. This just gives an excuse...

The whole point of this post, Is to ask you to support a rescue in Eastern Europe.. the whole area will join in,  in killing the street strays. MOBS GROW MOBS...

This year is a year to vote for president in the USA. 

And in Missouri it is our primary vote today. 

Yes I voted, no I will not say who I voted for.

I do want to point out you should research how the person you vote for feels about the things closest to your heart. For me that is animals. You see I want better laws to protect animals. I want the remaining states in the USA who allow bestiality (there are 7 ) to change their laws. Animal abuse became a felony in all the states, but how a judge punishes an abuse felony is important. Slap my hand and I'll do it again, throw me in jail and I might not, keep me in jail and I can not.

Mollie Halpern: The FBI this year prepares to collect data on animal cruelty crimes through its National Incident-Based Reporting System, or NIBRS. I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau with FBI, This Week.

NIBRS is a collection of detailed crime statistics that law enforcement agencies from across the country provide to the FBI. Unit Chief Amy Blasher says the Bureau partnered with the National Sheriffs' Association and the Animal Welfare Institute to make the change...

Amy Blasher: They believe that animal cruelty was an early indicator of violent crime, and that’s really what led the discussions with our law enforcement partners throughout the country.

Halpern: The FBI will collect data on four types of animal abuse...
~~
Blasher: Examples of which would be organized abuse, which would include dog fighting and cock fighting, and animal sexual abuse.

Halpern: Implementing the change is a year-long process.

Blasher:  We do a lot of outreach to our partners so they understand the change and how they can ready their systems to collect the data. Halpern: Data collection will begin in 2016 and will be available to the public the following year. 

THIS MIGHT BE A START TO A NATIONAL (USA) REGISTER FOR ANIMAL ABUSERS. I believe a list should be available to the public 24-7 (on line).

                     FBI to classify animal abusers in same category as murders beginning in 2016

The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced this week that animal abuse will be prosecuted as a "crime against society." The change in classification means animal abusers fall into a ‘Group A’ felony with arsonists and murderers. This change was announced by John Thompson at the National Sheriffs’ Association. FBI Investigation Director James Comey signed off on including animal cruelty offenses in the Uniform Crime Report. Local agencies will also track them to report to the FBI.

No longer will extremely violent crimes against animals be included in the “other offense” category simply because the victims were animals. Just as the FBI tracks hate crimes and other important categories, they will now have critical data on animal cruelty. The HSUS has been pushing for this change in policy for years, along with our affiliates, the Humane Society Legislative Fund and Doris Day Animal League.

According to the FBI, the official definition of animal cruelty will be:

"Intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly taking an action that mistreats or kills any animal without just cause, such as torturing, tormenting, mutilation, maiming, poisoning, or abandonment. Included are instances of duty to provide care, e.g., shelter, food, water, care if sick or injured; transporting or confining an animal in a manner likely to cause injury or death; causing an animal to fight with another; inflicting excessive or repeated unnecessary pain or suffering, e.g., uses objects to beat or injure an animal. This definition does not include proper maintenance of animals for show or sport; use of animals for food, lawful hunting, fishing or trapping."

The FBI will begin collecting information about animal abuse in 2016. Animal cruelty is currently labeled as "other", which has made it difficult to find, count and track incidents and perpetrators. Now that animal cruelty, including animal neglect, is included in the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report, there is a real incentive for law enforcement agencies to pay closer attention to such incidents. With accurate data, law enforcement agencies will also be better able to allocate officers and financial resources to handle these cases, track trends and deploy accordingly. The FBI's new categorization will greatly improve the way such crimes are tracked nationwide and likely will help animal cruelty laws across the United States.

Many studies reveal that children who torture or kill animals are likely to show violence towards people when they grow up. Re-classifying animal abuse will aid law enforcement and the FBI in quantifying and reporting incidents of animal abuse.

More narrowly, it can be the causing of harm or suffering for specific gain, such as killing animals for food or for their fur; opinions differ about the extent of cruelty associated with a given method of slaughter. Cruelty to animals sometimes encompasses inflicting harm or suffering for personal amusement, as in zoosadism. Laws concerning animal cruelty are designed to prevent needless cruelty. Divergent approaches to such laws occur in different jurisdictions throughout the world. For example, some laws govern methods of killing animals for food, clothing, or other products, and other laws concern the keeping of animals for entertainment, education, research, or pets. Cruelty to animals is not the same thing as disrespect towards animals.

In broad terms, there are three conceptual approaches to the issue of cruelty to animals. The animal welfare position holds that there is nothing inherently wrong with using animals for human purposes, such as food, clothing, entertainment, and research, but that it should be done in a way that minimizes unnecessary pain and suffering, sometimes referred to as "humane" treatment. Utilitarian advocates argue from the position of costs and benefits and vary in their conclusions as to the allowable treatment of animals. Some utilitarians argue for a weaker approach which is closer to the animal welfare position, whereas others argue for a position that is similar to animal rights. Animal rights theorists criticize these positions, arguing that the words "unnecessary" and "humane" are subject to widely differing interpretations, and that animals have basic rights. They say that the only way to ensure protection for animals is to end their status as property and to ensure that they are never used as commodities.

 This is the picture millions of people around the world saw on 18th March 2002. This is Terry Ford, a farmer in Zimbabwe who was attacked in the early hours of the morning. He was beaten, hacked and then shot in the head. His faithful dog, Squeak, remained curled up against his body. It took hours to coax him away. Terry Ford was my brother, who stayed in Zimbabwe believing that Mugabe would never take the farms. My parents had been living with my husband and I, then living in South Africa, for many years as their pensions and Medical Aid had been stopped. My Father suffered a number of strokes after Terry's murder. We were finally able to get my Father back to the UK (he was British) in November 2010. I have an ancestral visa, my husband has a spousal visa. My elderly Mother, whom I have been the carer for many years now, is on an Indefinite Leave to Remain visa. Yesterday my husband and I were informed that our applications for Indefinite Leave to remain in the UK had been declined as we had erroneously omitted taking an English test and submitting same. We cannot appeal this decision. We are pleading with everyone to please sign this petition to assist us in getting our new visas. My elderly mother has dementia and other debilitating medical problems. With her dementia, she relies on me to do most things for her. There will be no family to take care of her if we are deported. The fact that we grew up in Rhodesia and were brought up in the British way under British rule for many years means nothing. Our only hope is to appeal to The Honourable Theresa May to assist us in this matter. We have supported ourselves since arriving in the UK over 5 years ago.
