Dear folks, these dogs have had more then enough and too much sadness in their lives as they have no voice and no choice where and how to live, they are waiting for us and waiting food and water from our hands and money. 

 

I know you are tired of donating as everywhere when you come to facebook, there are appeals, but really Bosnian dogs need you, all dogs of world need us & we must help, and I can't without you. Please my dear friends, let's pay all debts, buy more food, prepare shelter for the winter and provide new vet session and visit

Dear Person,
Have you ever been hungry? I have and it hurts. Just picture 150 animals all looking at each other as food.

 Dalida is a lawyer from Sarajevo who has been involved in protection of animals for more than 15 years and she is one of the  rescuers and activists with most experience in Bosnia.

Dalida takes care of 150 rescued dogs and 10 cats and this Blog is set up to help them to buy food for dogs and cats that have been saved from horrors of Bosnian streets and pounds.
It is essential to raise enough funds to buy enough food for all 150 animals.

Dalida has even prepared a real rescue center for rescues so there won't be pension fees anymore.

She does need help paying for the land she bought. We even promised to help! But we donators seem to have a problem, REMEMBERING WHAT WE PROMISED.

 It  is very difficult and stressful to take care of so many rescues every day not to mention and that she drives all animals to veterinarians, deals with administration for animals, prepare animals for transport, take care of sick animals and  try to live a normal life at the same time.

Of course food is essential and the most important thing that must be  provided for saved animals.

The most important thing is to keep Dalida's rescues safe, fed, healthy, off the  streets, and away  from  the illegal dog catchers until they are adopted.

The number of rescued animals is  constantly  changing due to finding homes for them, but the  numbers grow with new  cases of injured, sick or abused dogs and cats.

 Food costs  (with new better prices that Dalida has arranged for food):
* 10 kg of dry food = 6 Euros (average meal for one dog = 500 gr - depends on size and weight): 150 dogs*500 gr=75 kg per day
7.5 bags of 10 kg=45 Euros per day
45 Euros*30 days=1350 kg
*Wet food for dogs: 300 Euros
*Food for cats: 200 Euros
*Meat, bread, fish, other cooked food: 500 Euros
Total: 2350 Euros

 PLEASE DONATE 2 EUROS TOWARDS THE COST OF FOOD.  IF EVERYONE THAT READS THIS WOULD GIVE JUST 2 EUROS SHE WOULD NEVER RUN OUT OF FOOD!!

The most important news of all the time is that Dalida is setting up a real rescue center for all rescues and all of them are going to be placed in new rescue center during so it is essential to raise enough funds to buy enough food for all animals.

Also, Dalida was one of the lobbyists who were involved in legislating of Animal Protection and Welfare Act in Bosnia, in 2009. Dalida investigates cases of animal abuse, as well as cases of obstructions to implement Animal Protection and Welfare Act.
Her activities are focused on enforcement of the Animal Protection and Welfare Act, presenting practical legal solutions in animal welfare area, collecting of evidences, filing criminal reports, and constant lobbying that Bosnian authorities implement the Animal Protection and Welfare Act.

Dalida also acts as a liason with international animal welfare advocates.
She follows all activities of police, the prosecutor's office, and veterinary inspectors, in order to prosecute and punish people who torture and kill animals. She also participates in media debates about animal welfare.

Rescuing is a promise, that we rescuers feel in our hearts. We can not turn our backs, we must help, even when the work of rescuing, or the bills of rescuing cause us great worry; because we are afraid of falling short. We ask the people who have been donating "WILL YOU HELP" and we are promised..of course.

But things happen and the donations have fallen short of what is needed. 

Dalida bought this property for 40,000.00 euros. She gave a down payment and has spent about 5000.00 more euros on building the private pension. This is while still asking for money for food 3,200.00 euros per month for food, and vet fees.

BUT SHE NEEDS TO START MAKING PAYMENTS TO THE PERSON SHE BOUGHT THE PROPERTY FROM.  SHE DESPERATELY NEEDS YOUR DONATIONS TO DO THIS! while still donating for food and the vet.

Will you promise and keep your promise to help her? PLEASE DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON HER! 

The amount does not matter but the promise does matter. She must depend on the money sent to finish paying for this property. 

THERE IS NO GOING BACK NOW! TO MUCH MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT, TO MUCH WORK HAS BEEN GIVEN...AND IT WOULD BREAK QUITE A FEW HEARTS,

I have personally known Dalida Kozlic for over 5 years. A friend of mine, traveled to Sarajevo about 6 months after I started trying to help. I had asked her while she was there to check out 3 different rescues I was helping to raise money for rescuing. She did by visiting each and going to the pensions (in USA THEY ARE CALLED PRIVATE SHELTERS) to see the animals. Each one checked out and so I have been doing computer work to help since then.

When we get this new pension settled, she will only need help with food, vet, travel, and any costs that are created by the pension, garbage, lights, and things like that.
