No Animals Used as Live Bait

Idaho: No Animals Used as Live Bait

Idaho Senate Bill S1305 passed committee and will go to the Senate for a vote as early February 29, 2012.  This bill allows for slaughter of wolves found molesting livestock by any means.  It specifically allows for baiting wolves with live animals.  State Senator Jeff Siddoway said "even dogs" could be used as bait.

Using any sentient being as bait to kill another is cruel and inhumane.  It causes undue stress to the bait animal and puts them in harms way to be killed by wolves before a gunman kills the wolf.

What is Love?

Have you ever had a pet? They have emotions... try leaveing home for an hour and see how happy your Dog / Cat is to see you when you get back, that's love. Try watching a mother animal with her babies, domestic or wild she will give her life to defend them.

That is a type of intelligence, granted not as smart as humans, but are we really smarter. WE poison our environment, they don't.

Gas Chambers were use by Hitler to dispose of Human beings, and some states use Gas Chambers to dispose of abandoned and discarded domesticated pets. Are we so inhuman as to use the same methods as Hitler...He disposed of People, truly a greater offense then killing animals the same way. But are we so inhuman that we can use the same methods as Hitler. Do you know what a death by Gas does, Do you really just lay down and go to sleep like the movies play it out... GET REAL -

Carbon monoxide gas chambers are definitely not a "good death", as animals slowly suffocate to death, sometimes taking 45 minutes and multiple gassings in order to die. Animals cry, bite one another, and bleed out of their cavities, all while fully conscious.

Is that even close to loving your pet, try abandoning your pet in a state that still kills unwanted shelter animals that way... Did you love your pet, he loved you!.

I believe in non-kill shelters, but if you have to, then do it humanely. Sign the petition to end GAS CHAMBER KILLINGS...

GAS CHAMBERS for Killing

we petition the obama administration to:

ban the use of gas chambers for killing shelter companion animals. They are inhumane, expensive and dangerous to humans.

The term euthanasia is from the Greek meaning "good death." Carbon monoxide gas chambers are definitely not a "good death", as animals slowly suffocate to death, sometimes taking 45 minutes and multiple gassings in order to die. Animals cry, bite one another, and bleed out of their cavities, all while fully conscious. Although some states have already banned the use of these cruel chambers, this archaic practice should be banned on a national level. It is inhumane, more expensive than Pentobarbital injection and most importantly, dangerous to shelter workers. Companion animals have been bred for the purposes of bringing mankind joy, and they deserve a respectful death. "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated" - Ghandi.

Superbowl "Here - Weego"

The early votes are in, and one of the unlikely winners for this year’s Superbowl television advertising is Weego, a rescue dog featured in an ad for Bud Light.
Weego beat out several “A list” celebrities, including David Beckham, Matthew Broderick, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, and Elton John.
According to the Facebook page set up for him,  “Weego’s shelter and owner played a critical role in his  story. In celebration of his humble beginnings, Bud Light is joining forces with Weego to make a donation to help these animals in need and those that make animal rescue possible.”
