Politics cause CAT's death...
Hi,
I just can't believe that a person would punish a animal or children for a person's political views.
The idea that a person could bash in the head of the children's pet cat, over the political views of the father, is just beyond belief. My personal opinion is that when this person is found they should be put in an institution for the criminally insane, because that type of violence will only escalate, to something much worse. Anyone with that little care for life needs hospitalization.. PERTINENTLY!..

Read the article:
The campaign manager of Arkansas Democratic congressional candidate Ken Aden arrived home on Sunday to find his children’s pet cat murdered on the front porch with the word “LIBERAL” scrawled across its lifeless body.

Politically Motivated Pet Killings?
Politically motivated pet killings? What on earth did this poor cat do to deserve such a fate? What did he know about politics?
Burris’s kids found their pet in this state simply because their dad is the campaign manager for a Democrat in a heavily conservative state.
This is a despicable, heinous act that could only have been carried by a sick coward.
“To Kill A Child’s Pet Is Just Unconscionable”
From todaystv.com in Russellville, Ken Aden sums it up:

From todaystv.com in Russellville, Ken Aden sums it up:
“To kill a child’s pet is just unconscionable,” Aden said Monday morning. “As a former combat soldier, I’ve seen the best of humanity and the worst of humanity. Whoever did this is definitely part of the worst of humanity,” he said.
“It is one thing to engage in civil political discourse, and for Republicans and Democrats to disagree with each other, which is an expected part of the political process. Taking it to this level is beyond unacceptable,” Aden said.

KEEP INTERNET FREE
COPIED VERBATIM
Hi Nelda,
Want to preserve the internet we know and love, and keep it an innovative force for the future?
Today, Mozilla is joining in a virtual strike with other leading public interest organizations and tech companies, from Wikipedia to Reddit to Google, to protest the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) and its companion legislation in the US House, the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) -- and we need your voice.
The fact is that it's been a great couple of weeks in the fight against the PROTECT IP and Stop Online Piracy Acts -- the White House came out against them, and the growing chorus of opposition both in and outside of government has been heartening.
But the fight is not over, particularly in the Senate. There's a week left until Senators return to Washington from their districts, when their vote is scheduled on the PROTECT IP Act -- can you help make one last push while they're still nearby, by calling their local offices and asking them not to support PIPA? Get started here:
http://stopthewall.us/
And to see how Mozilla is striking -- and for other ways to take action today -- check out:
http://mozilla.org/sopa
No matter what happens, this isn't the last step -- there's currently a vote on the PROTECT IP Act scheduled for next week, once the Senate is back in session, and if it goes forward we'll be in touch with how to make the biggest difference beforehand.
Thanks for all you've done to help fight this misguided legislation. It's looking good, but we can't let up now.
Ben
P.S. -- Not in the US? Unfortunately, you shouldn't contact the senate, but please forward this on to anyone you know in the states, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation has put together a petition to get your message to the US State Department. You can sign that here:

pet shelters WHO GETSYOUR MONEY?
from: HumaneWatch.Org
http://humanewatch.org/
Pet Shelters
HumaneWatch has promoted the following pet shelters in its "Humane Bites" feature. We make no guarantees about how these shelters are operated, and we don't distinguish between "kill" and "no-kill" shelters. For former HSUS donors looking for a reliable place to direct their charitable dollars, this is a good place to start.
In our judgment, consumers looking to support the rehabilitation and adoption of the dogs and cats in the Humane Society of the United States's ads would be well advised to donate to one of these shelters, instead of to HSUS itself. Funding for hands-on pet shelters at the local level is something in which (despite its name) HSUS has sadly shown very little interest. In 2008, HSUS set aside less than one-half of one percent of its budget for organizations like these.

Center for Biological Diversity
We wanted to take a moment after the holiday rush to reflect on the many endangered species successes of 2011 -- and share our thanks to you for helping make them all possible.
I hope you'll take two minutes to watch this video from us highlighting the Center's accomplishments last year and looking ahead to 2012.
http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/support/thanks/2012/supporters.html
With your many actions, we grew to more than 320,000 members and online supporters last year. In 2011, your commitment and enthusiasm for protecting imperiled species and wildlands led to 1.3 million actions -- emails, phone calls, letters and faxes to decision makers -- to save the diversity of life on Earth. Thank you.
